Programs for Teens

Our Teen programs are designed to encourage expression and promote personal growth.  We believe that in giving back to others while honoring our loved one, we find our own healing path

Peer Support Group

“Grow Through What You Go Through” Support Group for Teens

  • This is a peer-centered bereavement group with an emphasis on creating triumph from challenge.

  • Focusing on personal goals for the future and engaging in activities that promote growth and healing such as community projects and performing/fine arts.

  • Seasonal Group Projects:

    • Spring – community garden/high school butterfly garden planting
    • Summer – Monarch Butterfly Release
    • Fall – Service to Others
    • Winter – Acting Out! Improv group and Art/Literature Show.

Family Support

“New Family Traditions” Weekend Retreat for Families

  • Two-day family retreat focused on helping families think through the traditions that help them honor their loved one.

  • Create a family plan for the year.

  • Bond with other families and build on your support system.

Mentorship Program

“One Million Mentors” Teen Mentor Program

  • Teens need their own support system, especially a trusted adult who can help fill some of the gaps and understands the importance of “Being There.”
  • This relationship is focused on staying on track toward personal goals and encouraging expression about feelings associated with their grief journey.

Together, we can make a difference. Volunteer for a fundraising event, or donate directly to help a grieving family today.
